Reading the label

Domestic ovens are labelled on the A+++ to D scale under Regulation (EU) 65/2014. The label gives the usable volume of each cavity and the energy used for one standardised cycle in conventional and, where available, fan-forced mode.

How we estimate the annual cost

We multiply the energy per cycle by 100 uses a year. Gas ovens are listed with their gas use per cycle and are not included in electricity cost estimates.
