Editorial policy

Every number on this site comes from a public source: product values from the EU energy label register (EPREL) and electricity prices from Eurostat. We do not publish user reviews, sponsored content or manufacturer marketing claims.

Calculated figures

Running costs, rankings, percentiles and the phone durability score are calculated by us. Each page states the assumption behind its figures, and the methodology page explains every formula. We never present an estimate as a label value.

Independence

No manufacturer, retailer or advertiser can pay to appear, to be ranked higher or to have data changed. Advertising and any shopping links are kept separate from the data and do not influence what is shown.

Corrections

If we make a mistake in how data is matched or displayed, we fix it as soon as we are told. Values in the register can only be corrected by the supplier who registered them. Report a problem.
